Getting Lost On The Oregon Trail

Hometown hero and our go-to graveleer, Tobin Ortenblad, headed up North earlier this year for a crack at the Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder. An unfortunately-timed sketchy gas station meal scuppered his plans for a podium, so he headed out into the hills for a no number plates, no timing chip, no finish line kind of ride. That's where Stigmata really excels. You can race it and win on it, like Tobin did at the Singlespeed Cyclocross World Championships this year, but we built it to really 'get out there.' Take the road that's not on the map, dip into the new singletrack you just spotted to the side of the road, or load it up with a sleeping bag and a burrito for a night out in the woods. The rangy cockpit and stable handling make a bike that's immediately comfortable to ride, even if you're not much for drop bars, and it uses standard "standards" to make customization simpler. Add a dropper, swap the stem, pick your favorite alt bar, and build it your way.
